Magazine Street restaurant offers more Deanie’s originals
Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen, 2200 Magazine St., located in Uptown New Orleans, has expanded its menu to add more of the Deanie’s Seafood originals that have made the local restaurant group one of the favorite seafood restaurants in the Big Easy.
Deanie’s Kitchen patrons can now enjoy Deanie’s Seafood’s famous Giant Seafood Platter and Half Platter dinners, a bounty of softshell crab, shrimp, oysters, catfish, and crawfish balls, and more appetizers like fried artichoke hearts and fried or sauteed crab claws.
Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen offers Deanie’s New Orleans-style seafood including seasonal boiled crawfish, shrimp and Louisiana blue crab, raw and charbroiled oysters, and standards like fried seafood, po-boys, crawfish étouffée, crab meat au gratin and New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp. New favorite items launched at the Sea Food Kitchen include: Shrimp Remoulade Wedge Salad, Barbeque Shrimp Tacos, Jambalaya, and Red Beans & Rice.
Delivering the same flavors as the legendary New Orleans seafood restaurant, Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen is a contemporary outpost of Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant and the third Deanie’s restaurant in the Greater New Orleans area. Located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Magazine Street, Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen offers an open kitchen layout and vintage, retro industrial atmosphere, with historic touches including traditional oyster baskets, vintage signs and black-and-white fishing photography by local photographer Bevil Knapp. The two-story restaurant features a raw and charbroiled oyster station, two full bars, a weekday happy hour, plus outdoor balcony dining with beautiful views of the New Orleans skyline.
A powerhouse in fresh-from-the-Gulf seafood offerings, Deanie’s Seafood has operated as a family-owned “scratch house” for over 50 years, serving up huge portions of certified “Louisiana Wild” seafood prepared in-house with family recipes and our signature Creole Seasonings.
