NEW ORLEANS--Deanie’s Seafood’s 2013 Pinch A Palooza Festival and Crawfish Eating Contest was a huge success, drawing more than 2,000 fest goers to Deanie’s in Bucktown to enjoy a full day of live music, food and fun.
Pinch A Palooza delivered a great free outdoor party with performances by Theresa Andersson, Vince Vance & The Valiants, Hot 8 Brass Band, Andrew Duhon, Breakwater Drive and the 610 Stompers, plus a lively Crawfish Eating Contest and a variety of crawfish dishes.
Our annual Crawfish Eating Contest featured teams from Old School 106.7, WRNO 99.5, Q93, Voodoo 104.1, the 610 Stompers and of course Deanie’s Seafood. The 610 Stompers team, “Stomper Domination,” pulled out a very convincing victory and took home some great prizes, including a Deanie’s Seafood -sponsored Crawfish Boil. After their hard-fought victory, the 610 Stompers provided the Pinch A Palooza crowd with some extraordinary dance moves that not only entertained, but inspired.
Pinch A Palooza also featured The Dutch Alley Artist’s Co-op, where local artists displayed their crafts and sold art inspired by Louisiana seafood and New Orleans. But above all, Deanie’s Seafood’s famous Boiled Crawfish stole the show, including a newly added crawfish menu item, Crawfish Nachos, and more than 1,200 pounds of Boiled Crawfish!
