Great New Orleans Lunch Spots

Wherever you go, you’re only blocks away from a delicious meal

Sometimes closing a deal and entertaining clients means digging in to a great meal. Whether you’re grabbing a Po’ boy to eat at your desk or enjoying a classic three-martini luncheon before rolling back in to the office, there’s something for everyone when it comes to lunch in New Orleans.

Wherever you go in New Orleans you are only blocks away from a delicious meal. No list of luncheon restaurants in New Orleans would be complete without Galatoire’s. Located on Bourbon Street, a Friday luncheon at Galatoire’s is an all-day affair and the place to see and be seen.

In the French Quarter, dealmakers still settle in for Washbucket martinis and prime rib and steaks at The Rib Room, located in the Omni Royal Orleans on Royal St., one of the old standards in New Orleans power lunches. Uptown and on the more casual side, there is always Reginelli’s Pizza or Juan’s Flying Burrito (For an extra serving of “fruit,” try a frozen margarita.) In the New Orleans Arts District, you might try one of Donald Link’s restaurants – Peche on Magazine, Herbsaint on St. Charles Avenue or Couchon on Tchoupitoulas. In Treme, you can enjoy traditional legendary Creole at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant or Southern fried chicken at Willie Mae’s Scotch House.

If you’re in Mid-City, you could venture to the scenic Ralph’s on the Park near City Park. In Metairie, stop by Copeland’s, Legacy Kitchen or Cafe B. The Ruby Slipper, with locations in the CBD, French Quarter, Marigny and Mid-City, is dedicated solely to breakfast and lunch.

Deanie’s Seafood’s two locationsin the French Quarter and the original location in the Bucktown neighborhood in Metairieoffer an extensive menu of Wild Louisiana seafood items prepared in Deanie’s signature Creole seasonings.
