Miss. Rail Co., Shamarr Allen perform 10/30 Bucktober Wednesday

Deanies-Bucktober-banner-30METAIRIE, LA.--Oct. 29, 2013--Deanie's Seafood Restaurants' Bucktober Wednesdays concert this week features Mississippi Rail Company and Shamarr Allen & the Underdawgs performing live on the outdoor stage at Deanie's Seafood restaurant in Bucktown, located at 1713 Lake Ave.

Mississippi Rail Company, whose performance earlier in the month was canceled due to rain, will open the evening at 5:30 p.m., with Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs closing the night. The series will cap off Nov. 6 with a soulful performance by New Orleans singer/songwriter Mia Borders.

The Bucktober Wednesdays concert series benefits the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.

One of New Orleans' favorite seafood restaurants, Deanie's in Bucktown will serve up drink specials plus charbroiled oysters alongside the restaurant's full menu for this entertaining series of dining and dancing alfresco. Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs (@ShamarrAllen)  Shamarr Allen is a native New Orleanian, entertainer, producer, trumpeter and cultural ambassador. Allen and the Underdawgs perform all original music blending jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock and a little pop, including songs from their upcoming album "True Orleans."

Mississippi Rail Company (@MissRailCo) A New Orleans band featuring a soulful, bluesy blend of upright bass, tenor saxophone, keyboard and drums, Mississippi Rail Company released their first full-length album "Coal Black Train" in 2012. Their music embraces New Orleans roots music, rock, folk, and blues traditions.

Mia Borders (@MiaBorders) New Orleans native and singer/songwriter, Borders' music has captivated local and national audiences with her energetic blend of blues, soul, funk and contemporary songwriting. Her second full-length album, "Magnolia Blue," earned her a nomination for Best Emerging Artist at the Big Easy Music Awards, as well as a nationally broadcast performance at N.O. Jazz Fest 2010.
