Deanie’s Seafood sits at the intersection of Dauphine and Iberville streets in the French Quarter. The Deanie’s Holiday Kids Sing-Along & Dance Party sits at the intersection of the dreams of two close friends: bandleader Vince Vance and Deanie’s owner Barbara A. Chifici, old-school New Orleanians seeking to rekindle the spirit of holidays gone by.
The special holiday kids event is held over four dates in December at the restaurant, 841 Iberville St.
Vince Vance, backed by the all-female Valianettes, will perform holiday songs — including his chart-topping classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” — while also premiering songs from a new EP by Vince & The Valiants, “Christmas State of Mind.”
Each year, the city pulls out all the stops to celebrate Christmas New Orleans Style. With 79 different seasonal events this December—including 13 free events—and numerous hotels offering special Papa Noël packages to entice visitors to visit New Orleans, Deanie’s offers 10 Must-See holiday events to celebrate Christmas in New Orleans. At the top of our list, of course, is Deanie’s Holiday Kids Sing-Along & Dance Party at Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant in the French Quarter.

Celebrate the magic of the season with a fun holiday performance and Christmas sing-along at Deanie’s Seafood in the French Quarter with Deanie’s Seafood’s Holiday Kids Sing-Along & Dance Party wih Vince Vance. A New Orleans-style holiday celebration featuring free photos with Santa, a full buffet breakfast, arts & crafts, and a special holiday performance and sing-along with Vince Vance & The Valianettes, the event is held over four dates in December.
A portion of the proceeds for Deanie’s New Orleans Christmas celebration benefits Angels Place, Inc. of New Orleans, a charity for families with children with life-threatening illnesses. Deanie’s also will offer free photos with Santa in the French Quarter.

BUCKTOWN, La. (WGNO TV)–March 6, 2015–Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant in Bucktown remains one of the most popular destinations for seafood year-round, due in part to the fantastic taste of the food.
According to Chandra Chifici, this is no accident. Chifici told ABC affiliate WGNO TV in New Orleans, “Everything needs to be seasoned well. ‘Spice’ doesn’t necessarily mean it tastes better, and that’s the way our mother has cooked and that’s the way we’ve been taught to cook. All these recipes are family recipes from our parents that we still use in here today.”
