METAIRIE, LA. —(March 18, 2015)—On Sun., April 19, Deanie’s Seafood Restaurants will present the sixth-annual Pinch A Palooza Festival & Crawfish Eating Contest at Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant & Seafood Market in Bucktown, 1713 Lake Ave., Metairie. A seasonal celebration of Louisiana crawfish, music and culture, Pinch A Palooza runs from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and features six bands and a full afternoon of activities. Admission is free.

Eating fish is healthy and easy in the Gulf Region

In recent years, people have become more conscious of healthy eating and want to eat lighter foods. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least two times per week. This means two servings of 3.5 ounces of cooked fish or about ¾ cup of flaked fish.

Fish is an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids and it’s usually low in saturated fat. Eating fish is believed to reduce the risk of dying of heart disease, and a recent study found eating baked or broiled fish weekly boosts brain health.

NEW ORLEANS-September 6, 2014-Deanie's Seafood Restaurant in the French Quarter, 841 Iberville St., kicks off another season as Saints Radio Headquarters with live broadcast of Saints Radio Network's “The Point After” Show beginning with the season opener matchup of the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons on Sun., Sept. 7 in Atlanta.

Again this season, Deanie's Seafood is host to "The Point After" radio show featuring former New Orleans Saints quarterback Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert and commentator Big Chief Deke Bellavia that broadcasts live on the Saints Radio Network immediately following every New Orleans Saints game.
