A locally owned family restaurant that was the first in New Orleans to become certified for serving ‘Authentic Louisiana Wild’ Seafood, Deanie’s Seafood also was ranked third among New Orleans’ “Favorite Place to Get Raw Oysters.”

Eating fish is healthy and easy in the Gulf Region

In recent years, people have become more conscious of healthy eating and want to eat lighter foods. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least two times per week. This means two servings of 3.5 ounces of cooked fish or about ¾ cup of flaked fish.

Fish is an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids and it’s usually low in saturated fat. Eating fish is believed to reduce the risk of dying of heart disease, and a recent study found eating baked or broiled fish weekly boosts brain health.

Point After Show returns Oct. 27 when Saints face Bills

NEW ORLEANS--Oct. 18, 2013--The New Orleans Saints, 5-1, will face the Buffalo Bills on Sun., Oct. 27, and Deanie's Seafood Restaurant will have all the post-game analysis after the Dome goes dark. The Saints will be coming off a bye week after their first loss of the season against the New England Patriots.  


Come out and join the Who Dat Nation at Deanie’s Seafood in the French Quarter or Bucktown to catch the action and take advantage of Game Day drink specials. Once the game is over, join us for “The Point After” Show with Bobby Hebert live from Deanie’s Seafood in the French Quarter.  Both Deanie’s locations have large screen TVs tuned to the game, so Saints fans can enjoy their favorite seafood without missing a play.

Mississippi Rail Company, Shamarr Allen & the Underdawgs close series Oct. 30

METAIRIE, LA.--Oct. 4--It's time for the food and music extravaganza known as Bucktober Wednesdays at Deanie's Seafood restaurant in Bucktown, 1713 Lake Ave., from 6-8 p.m., with free live music and a menu full of our famous seafood specials every Wednesday in October. Bucktober Wednesdays features an all local lineup, and proceeds benefit Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.  

New Orleans' favorite party band, Vince Vance & The Valiants, open the series Oct. 9, followed by Mia Borders on Oct. 16, The Scott Schmidt Band on Oct. 23, and a closing concert featuring a double-header, R&B quartet Mississippi Rail Company and Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs on Oct. 30.


One of New Orleans' favorite seafood restaurants, Deanie’s in Bucktown will serve up drink specials plus charbroiled oysters alongside the restaurant’s full menu for this entertaining series of dining and dancing alfresco.
